Hey, cool stuff! If you get a minute, do you mind checking out my band’s new album? The Record Set just put out our debut self-released album “Calling All Best Friends.” 11 tracks of pop-punk for fans of Audio Karate, Lifetime, Iron Chic, etc. Influences of new and old. You can download the album for free at http://www.mediafire.com/?b548cr5biupwbb5 and visit us at www.myspace.com/recordset. We’d really appreciate some input, even just a little blurb, or just to be featured on your site!
1 More day of this and I’ll stop. I promise. Sorry for the constant blogs of this, but I really could use the money. Fucking economy…
Yo Tumblr not to sound like a broken record but, I’m selling a really rare record, so check it out:
It’s one of 500 ever pressed. Signed by all of the band, with a personal message from Pete Wentz. I hate to let it go, but I gotta pay rent.
If you don’t wanna buy it, at least give me a reblog so I can get the most out of my collectable.
Please, Please, Please.
These dudes not only are the most delightful, down to earth, non judgmental, friendliest people you’ll ever meet but also incredible and creative musicians. The first time I ever met this band they greeted me with open arms and a comforting welcome, they made me feel like I had known them for years.
Experienced musicians have described them as ‘modern day Foo Fighters’, although they have a unique sound to them. Alex Laitinen, lead singer of The Control, has a voice like no other. He is 17 years old with this insane natural talent that people dream of. Dan Hal 18 years oldl, drummer and founder of The Control. Words can’t describe the drive, talent, and passion this kid has. He is so smart and so gifted as a musician. He began it all and has worked diligently to get The Control where it is today and he isn’t stopping here. Kevin Bowers 18 years old, lead guitarist and co-founder of The Control. The two close friends worked so hard together to make their dreams become reality. Kevin makes the audience drool, I’ve never seen someone shred so hard on the guitar before. Dan Hennessy 18 years old, bassist of The Control, is such a hard worker. He tries his best to get The Control on stage for performances with other amazing musicians. He slaps that bass hard and puts on a great show for their fans! Trev McCarthy, rhythm guitarist, is the latest member of The Control. He in entirety completes the band with his creative knack. His positive energy and upbeat personality is contagious. His passion for music is shown when putting all of his heart on stage when performing. He, like the rest, is in love with what he does.
They have a recorded EP and have recently put together many new projects that I was lucky to hear last night live at Tammany Hall in Worcester. If you’re in the area on October 5th get your butt to Obrian’s Pub on 3 Harvard Avenue, Allston MA.
